Nick Zoulek initially approached me for a photo shoot so that he could have some images to use for promoting his saxophone work. We went out and I shot some pictures of him and he was happy with the images I gave to him, but I didn't want to leave it at that. I wanted to give him one visual that would be really impressive if it was seen on a poster or on the Internet. It took me two times of coming back to this piece to get something I was really happy with. I think it was worth letting it sit for a little bit, as I was very happy with the end result (and so was Nick).
